Prayer

"When you pray for you, it is begging. When you pray for others, it is a duty cast upon us by love itself, that when we love, we have to ask for those whom we love."

- Taken from the book: "What is SahajMarg"

God

"God is not to be found within the fold of a particular religion or sect.He is not confined within certain forms or rituals, not is he to be traced out from within the scriptures. Him we have to seek for in the innermost core of our heart."
- Excerpts from the book "Reality At Dawn"

The Way of Love

" 'Give & Take'- We are leading loveless lives precisely because we have lost the capacity to love, inmost cases. In the rest of the cases we are afraid to love. Love is a Commitment." - Chariji

It is astonishing that ninety percent of the people i come across, adults, children, everybody have problems with the parents or parents with the children. Of course, problems between couples is almost total.why?Again because we are not able to love totally. We are not able to give our heart.we only give a part of ourselves.
A rich man gets companions by the dozen. Suddenly one night,he loses his money and next morning he is penniless.Everybody is gone, he is deserted, where was this love? Was it in his purse? But that is all you wil get if what you are  using is only your wealth, or your beauty or your strength ,or your ability. They are all physical limitations.
A child brings something with love, the parent rejects it.The child feels rejected. It carries the memory of that rejection throughout its life to the grave. That bond is broken , the parental-filial bond. What does it take to remake it?
A moment of intimacy. Go to your father and sit with him and say " Dad  I'm sorry" and he's waiting ,you know. His eyes are flooded with tears, you're both in tears. You hug each other and the moment is  made, your future life is made.

Happiness & Desires

"Happiness is inversely related to desires. If you have zero desires, your happiness will have a quantum jump & it will become infinite" - Kamlesh D Patel

How do we destroy our conditions and our humanity? It is mentioned in Gita: that when desires are not fulfilled there is disappointment. Disappointment leads to anger, anger makes you lose your balance, your mental equilibrium, you are destroyed and you lose your humanness.
Whatever we do or even think, or even will through our heart there are two consequences. Either the results are favorable or not favorable. When the result are favorable we are at peace, we have no other anxiety afterwards. We are at absolute peace when our action is fulfilled as per our expectation. When the results of the actions are against us, we are disturbed.
Now when these things are handled properly and when things go right, you feel a lot of peace.

Brotherhood

"Know all people as thy brethren and treat them as such." - Babuji
All things descending from the origin should be treated as coming from the same source.Just as children born of the same mother are related to each other in one and the same way, so also are all bound together by the same common tie of brotherliness and are related to each other in same way.
The underlying sense had never been fully grasped. All are connected with the same reality, the central point by the effect of motion which set everything into action, it was really the effect of our own thoughts and actions that converted brothers and friends into strangers. It was due to our own feeling of selfishness that made them appear like aliens. This engendered separative feeling must now, therefore,be removed so that brotherly relations may be revived.
The development of the feeling of universal brotherhood means the breaking up of the individual network that separated one from the other, and the close adherence to the tie of fraternity. It will naturally lead to mutual association and greater attachment and our dealing with one another will be moulded accordingly ensuring greater peace and contentment to everyone. How nice would it be to have it thus !.

Dairy Writing

"The chief purpose of the diary is that an abhyasi may remain attentive to his condition because he has to write about it." -  Babuji
When a person climbs up a mountain, one sees hardly anything of the road either above or below, because of the twists and turns that the road takes. But when one reaches a sufficient height one can look back and see the winding road on which one has come. In effect we gain perspective, understanding and knowledge of our growth by maintaining the diary. A dairy should be a candid and open record with nothing hidden and nothing omitted from context. Thus its a progressive record of one's spiritual development and evolution.

Heart

"In every religion the heart plays a major role.
My heart has to be convinced of whatever i do.
The heart is the most mysterious thing and the most beautiful thing that we can have.
"- Kamlesh D.Patel
I always believe in listening to my heart and act as per that. The liveliness of human lies in his heart, whatever feeling a person undergoes it all starts from his heart. And so here we experience the heart based meditation in Sahaj Marg and mould our living.
